Description:
Define and implement database monitoring policies, including database health check, performance, etc., ensuring high performance levels, availability requirements.
Expert knowledge of monitoring DB, query optimization, query tuning ,performing DB maintenance tasks in AWS.
Configuring and maintaining the Backup & Recovery jobs in AWS.
Good knowledge in Indexes, Views, and partitioning in PostgreSQL DB.
Experience in architecting and deploying AWS RDS.
Perform database upgrade and migration activities (PostgreSQL in AWS and on-Premises).
Having support & troubleshooting experience in 24x7 environments.
Taking care of responsibility for ongoing issues in Development , Testing and PROD environment including all kind of issues.
Installing and configuration any new DBs if needed as per Customer's request.
Design and Implement Disaster recovery for PostgreSQL DB.
Maintaining documentation for troubleshooting database issues.
Monitoring the System logs, OS logs, DB logs, Trace logs and DB alerts for troubleshooting runtime problems.
Experience to provide suggestion to Application team if any modification from DB side.
Requirement:
Graduate in CS or equivalent
3-4 years of experience in the relevant skills
